Today was "one of those days"

Everyone has 'those days' that are less than stellar, we all have more of those than we would care for, but less noticed are the days that are great. Today was a great day, not for any particular reason, but just a great day all around. I want to tell everyone I know why and how thankful I am for everything that I do have.

Today started out with 3 dogs in the bed, all staring at me wanting breakfast! That is fun. I am doggie sitting for my sister and her husband. They have a large rhodiasian ridgeback dog, and a large dachcaund and of course my chihuahua dog. It was pretty commical and just made me laugh and smile from the start of the day.

Second, I am up quick and pick up my friend Melissa and head to the gym for a quick walk on the treadmill and some weights! Then- a few hours of coffee and muffins with the girls, and sitting out by the pool and chatting about everything and nothing at all. We watched two different families with small kids and remarked about the great things about happy kids. They are truely just amazing.
After this, I went back to Sara and Austins house and worked on Fundraising for my new project. As all of you know by now, I am walking the 60 mile walk for Breast Cancer in November- If you didnt know this- I am not doing a good job of getting the word out!! I made a website for selling our team clothing! We are "CHEERS" to finding a cure, with a logo of a pink martini with pink ribbons. You can check this out if you wish- some of the items are cute!! I am getting Griffin a team shirt! http://www.cafepress.com/Jodi3Day

After this, I made dinner, nothing special but it was good.
After that I made some chocolate pink ribbons to use as a fundraiser too (told you-I start a project and dont let go of it... all or nothing in my book) These are turning out really great! If you would like to order some let me know and I will send you some in the mail! Just email me.

I had a good conversation with my parents after that, and reminisced about this time last year- I was knee deep in another giant project... Graduation! I cant believe its been a year! The ladies and gentlemen of class of 2009 are going to graduate next week and that is amazing. What a year...

So this all just got me thinking about the past, the present and what all I have that I am thankful for. I am so happy to have graduated with a great degree, I have a great family that is so supportive of all my 'projects', I have amazing friends and truely thankful for them. I have a great dog, a great job working with great kids and coworkers, and I have a great situation with my traveling (even though the actual moving gets old really quick..).

I am getting all sappy, but I really wanted to share. A few other things to comment on:
1. Congratulations Emily and Justin on the birth of your BEAUTIFUL little boy Hayden, he's an amazing blessing.
2. Happy Birthday Rachael, the gorgeous 12 year old step daughter of my best friend- she had a great birthday party on Saturday night.!
3. My friends the Clarks, and the Conner's have adorable babies who are doing SO well, growing and doing exactly what they should be doing.
4. My sister and her husband got to take a MUCH needed vacation after being saddled with my dog and me for the last 6 weeks- and full time jobs and school without any real break. Yeah for yall..

So many good things, like I said just one of those days that you have to sit back a little bit and thank god for the things in your life.
Thank You!

Keep everyone you know if your prayers, that you, me and everyone else may get to have more of these days in thier lives. Pray for happiness, love and certainly good health!
